Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
Black food coloring (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until well combined.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
While the brownies are baking, prepare the spiderweb topping by heating the heavy cream and white chocolate chips in a microwave until melted and smooth.
If desired, add black food coloring to the white chocolate mixture to create a darker spiderweb.
Once the brownies are cooled, drizzle the white chocolate mixture in a spiderweb pattern on top of the brownies.
Allow the topping to set before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For a more intense chocolate flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Feel free to add Halloween-themed sprinkles for extra decoration.
