Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs are a delicious twist on the classic deviled eggs, featuring creamy filling with a hint of smokiness from the salmon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 ounces smoked salmon, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • Capers for garnish

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot of cold water, bringing to a boil, then covering and letting sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Remove the eggs from the pot and place them in an ice bath to cool.
  3. Once cooled, peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
  4. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Fold in the chopped smoked salmon and dill into the yolk mixture.
  6. Using a spoon or piping bag, fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture.
  7. Garnish with capers and additional dill if desired.
  8. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a dash of hot sauce to the yolk mixture.
  • These can be made a few hours in advance; just keep them refrigerated until serving.
  • Feel free to substitute the smoked salmon with other types of smoked fish if preferred.
