Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs baby potatoes or small Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or rosemary for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Potatoes: Wash and scrub the potatoes. Boil in salted water for 15-20 minutes or until fork-tender.
  • Smash the Potatoes: Let the potatoes cool slightly, then gently press each one with a fork, potato masher, or the bottom of a glass until flattened but intact.
  • Season the Potatoes: Brush each smashed potato with olive oil or melted butter. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika (if desired).
  • Air Fry: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the potatoes in a single layer in the basket. Air fry for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  • Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve hot. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, use a bit more oil or butter.
  • Try variations like Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, or lemon zest for unique flavors.
  • To reheat, place leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F for 4-5 minutes.
