Ingredients
Scale
1 lb chicken thighs or breasts
1/3 cup soy sauce
3 tbsp honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp water (for cornstarch slurry)
Sesame seeds and chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
Add the chicken to the marinade, ensuring it’s fully coated. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken and cook for another 8-10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
While the chicken cooks, heat the leftover marinade in a small pan. Add the cornstarch slurry and simmer until thickened.
Brush the cooked chicken with the thickened sauce.
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
Use chicken thighs for a juicier result, but breasts work well too.
Pair with steamed rice and veggies for a complete meal.
