Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 top sirloin steak (1-inch thick)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic herb butter (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Pat the steak dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. Brush both sides of the steak with olive oil.
  4. Season generously with sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  5. Place the sirloin steak in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring space around it for even cooking.
  6. Cook the steak based on desired doneness:
    • Rare (125°F): 5-6 minutes per side
    • Medium Rare (135°F): 6-7 minutes per side
    • Medium (145°F): 8-9 minutes per side
    • Well Done (160°F): 11-12 minutes per side
  7. Flip the steak halfway through cooking using tongs.
  8. Remove the steak from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  9. Top with garlic herb butter for extra flavor and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, lightly coat the steak with olive oil before seasoning.
  • If using frozen sirloin steak, add 4-6 minutes to the total cooking time.
  • Always use a meat thermometer to check the steak’s internal temperature.
  • Let the steak rest before cutting to retain its juices.
