SLOW COOKER GOLDEN SYRUP SPONGE
Ingredients:
- 4oz margarine
- 4oz caster sugar
- 4oz self raising flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Golden syrup
Method:
- Cream margarine, sugar & vanilla extract
- Add 2 eggs and beat well
- Sieve flour and fold in well
- Lightly grease a pyrex bowl
- Pour a generous helping of golden syrup in the bottom of pyrex bowl
- Add cake mixture
- Fill slow cooker half way up the bowl with water
- Put either kitchen towel or tea towel under lid
- Cook on high for 2 hours.
Indulge with custard.
